Getting Here

Our Sports and Remedial Massage Clinic is in Potts Point and does not have parking available. As such, below are the options for getting here. Please note we are on Hughes St, not Hughes Lane or surrounding streets. The street number is 11, not 1, so please if looking for us the first time, find Hughes St and then navigate via the street numbers. Being an older area, Google maps can get a little confused despite constant manual corrections.

Transport Options

Public Transport

We are 350 meters from Kings Cross Train Station.

By the 311 bus from Central or Town Hall, we are a 2 minute walk from the Macleay St at Orwell St stop. We are a 7 minute walk from the bus stops on Bayswater road for buses that come from the east, or alternate buses from the city (324/325)

Street Parking

A lot of the parking in the area is 1 hour parking and it is an area where rangers frequent, so we don't recommend these parks for any more than a 45 minute session. The best option in the area is Brougham st which has longer parking times and some untimed options.

If you do have to drive please allow extra time for parking as it is an area that gets quite busy, especially at weekends. Victoria St does have 2 hour parking but it really is dependent on availability which is sometimes low.

Paid Parking

We are a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross Car Park Secure Parking at 9a Elizabeth Bay Rd, entry via Ward Avenue. First hour is free according to the website, with $16 for up to 2 hours.

On Weekends there is a flat $15 fee for all day if you wish to explore the area while you are here.

Please see the website for more information: https://www.secureparking.com.au/en-au/car-parks/australia/new-south-wales/sydney/eastern-sydney/kings-cross-car-park

Walking or Cycling

It can be very beneficial to have a short walk after a remedial massage, in  fact, after some treatments I will insist upon it. The area is beautiful, full of parks and amazing cafes. Come with some extra time and explore!

Cycling is also a great way to get here if you are so interested. There are cycle paths very close to our area for safe cycling and should you have a heavy treatment, the train can be an alternate way home to go with your bike. We are very happy for you to keep your bicycle safe and secure in the clinic, so don't worry about finding a place to lock it up.

            Just a quick note :)

We provide Sports Massage and Remedial Massage to our clients. Should you wish for a relaxing massage, it is not something that we offer. Our Massage is not full body massage as we seek to treat musculoskeletal issues and there just isn't enough time in the session to do this whilst massaging the whole body. Should you wish this type of treatment, you could consider booking at a spa that offers 'Deep Tissue' (We know of some fantastic therapists that can help you out here; shoot us an email for our recommendations).

Our massage therapists are happy to answer any questions regarding treatments via email. We do not diagnose, but we do offer guidance to clients regarding upkeep of their physical bodies, using our experience in the field as well as constant related research. If we cannot help you (although it is exceedingly rare that we can't help at all), we are happy to suggest which allied or health professional should be your next stop.

As we provide Remedial Massage in all of our treatments, all Massage Performed at our Potts Point Clinic is eligible for Health Fund Rebates.

We also do not currently provide pregnancy massage. We do not have the equipment for it, nor the techniques although we are happy to refer you on to those that do!

In the spirit of reconciliation the Anatomy of Movement Clinic acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
